Choosing a concrete contractor in Viera, FL? Viera isn't one of Brevard's 16 cities and towns, so an address outside city limits falls under Brevard County's rules.

We're a Brevard County concrete company. Our own crew does every job, from the apron to the garage floor. We don't outsource any of it.

Is your Viera address under the County, a city or the state?

Viera isn't on either official list of Brevard's 16 municipalities (Brevard County; Supervisor of Elections). Outside city limits, the County issues building permits.

Where your driveway meets the roadWho you need a permit from
A county roadBrevard County Public Works: a right-of-way/easement permit
A state roadFDOT: a connection permit, on top of any local permit (Rule 14-96.003)
Your address is inside a city's limitsThat city: check with its building department

If your job needs a permit, we handle getting it.

What the County says about your driveway apron

The apron is the piece of driveway between the street and your lot. Sidewalks and drainage ditches often sit in that same strip of road right-of-way (Brevard County).

County Code Sec. 86-101 covers any work to "construct, remove, alter, reconstruct or relocate any curb, sidewalk, driveway". In a county road or easement, that takes a Public Works permit (County Code Ch. 86).

The County's residential application sets the numbers:

ItemCounty figure
Apron width12 ft minimum; 24 ft maximum with a two-car garage, 28 ft with three
Gap to the nearest side property line5 ft minimum
Application processing$25
Each permanent residential driveway connection$150
Work started before the permitDouble the permit fee

Public Works inspects before the pour and again at the end.

Applications: ROWPermitting@BrevardFL.gov or (321) 637-5437, Option 2. Inspections: (321) 633-2079, Option 1 (Public Works Engineering).

Rules last checked September 26, 2026. Local rules change. More detail: the Viera section of our Brevard driveway permit guide.

Who maintains the apron once it's poured?

You do. Under Sec. 86-70, private improvements in the right-of-way that come with a driveway permit are the owner's to maintain. On the application, owners sign that this covers the driveway materials there, any culvert, and the sidewalk area inside the driveway.

Moving or closing off a driveway works the same way. Sec. 86-101 says the owner gets a permit, removes the old driveway, and pays to put back the curb, gutter and sidewalk.

County sources don't settle two things. Does a driveway fully on your lot need a County building permit? And who repairs public sidewalks away from driveways? Ask us at your estimate.

What does a residential concrete contractor in Viera handle?

We pour driveways and aprons, patios, pool decks and slabs for sheds, RVs and boats. Walkways and entrances get poured new, repaired, or ground down where an edge trips people.

When concrete wears out, we fix it with crack filling, patching or a cut-out and repour, foam leveling, or resurfacing. We seal and reseal plain concrete driveways too.

For looks, there's stamped concrete in your pattern and color, staining, and polishing in matte, satin or high-gloss. On garage floors, we work on the concrete itself, never coatings.

How much does a concrete driveway run?

For driveways, the closest sourced range covers Central Florida. Driveways typically run $5–$21 per sq ft, and most land between $2,738 and $14,703 (Angi, Orlando, FL cost guide, updated May 2026). These are market estimates, not our prices.

Frequently asked questions

Is Viera its own city?

No. It isn't one of Brevard's 16 cities and towns. Check which government covers your address, since mailing addresses don't always match city limits.

Can I pull the County permit myself?

For County building permits, owners acting as their own contractor must file in person. Online permitting is only for licensed contractors (Building Permits).

How long is a County driveway permit good for?

A stand-alone driveway permit expires 12 months from the date it's issued (Sec. 86-70).

Are the prices above yours?

No. That's Angi's published range for the Orlando area. A free estimate gets you your own number.

What should I send you first?

The address, what you want done, and a photo if you can. Name any thickness or finish you want, and we'll write it into the quote.
